About the studio
Built by hand. Kept for generations.
Ravic Upholstery & Refinish Inc was founded in 2014 by two upholsterers who trained in traditional workshops and grew tired of watching beautiful furniture go to landfill.
A decade in, our small team of five works out of a converted foundry, restoring heirlooms, reupholstering worn favourites, and building bespoke pieces for clients who want furniture that outlives its warranty.
We keep the studio deliberately small so that every piece passes through the hands of a senior maker. It's the reason our lead times are honest, our quotes hold, and our clients come back.
What we believe
Four principles we don't compromise.
01 — Repair before replace
A good frame is worth restoring. We'll always tell you when it isn't.
02 — Material honesty
Real fibres, real fills, real leather. If we can't recommend it, we won't sell it.
03 — Slow is a feature
The work takes as long as it takes. We won't rush the parts you can't see.
04 — Long relationships
Most of our clients come back within five years for the next project. We plan for it.
